If you’re in hurry then this is the best electric blanket for camping you can have: Sable Electric Blanket. Why am I saying this? because it comes with 10 heating levels and designed to heat fastly without lacking in distributing the generated heat evenly throughout the blanket. Also, the blanket has ETL certification and has an auto shut off timer so you don’t have to worry about your safety

Point to be noted: Use any heated blanket to heat the bed only and it is advised not to use it for the complete night as it can overheat your body which can result in neuropathy that arises from damage to peripheral nerves and can also cause dehydration.

Some people claimed that electric blankets cause breast cancer but according to WebMD, women do not have to worry at least when it comes to breast cancer. So use them if need to use them in hard-core winter camping but only to heat the bed and then turn it off before you fall asleep.

  • Size: 50 x 60” inches
  • Weight: 2.87 lbs

The blanket comes with 10 heating levels to adjust the heat you feel like perfect for you. Sable heated blankets are designed to heat rapidly and to distributed heat evenly throughout the blanket so that you can get a warm cozy sleep during winter camping.

To make sleeping not only comfortable but safer the blanket features an auto shut-off system. Just set a 1-3 hrs auto-off timer, and to make this safety to another level this blanket has ETL certification which ensures that heat level will automatically come down to 4 if you’re heating at a high level for more than 1 hour.

This will keep your skin safe from burns due to an overheated blanket. Instead of camping, you can also use it in your home, office, or any outdoor location. Just need to have a good portable power station to keep things easy and smooth.

However many people are complaining about the durability as they saw some major heat failures after few months of use but as they told the customer service is good and will replace your blanket if any damage will happen in few months after buying.

Pros: Warm, Soft, and comfortable, 10 heating levels, Auto shut off

Cons: Lacks durability

MaxKare Electric Blanket

  • Size: 60 x 50 x 0.01 inches
  • Weight: 3.01 lbs

Maxkare electric blanket is known for its great control to overheating, soft touch, and comfort. The controller gives the choice to rapidly heat it with 6 optional heat levels from 95 to 113 degrees F.

The most important feature that I personally like about this blanket is its auto shut-off feature which automatically shuts off itself after 3 hours of continuous use. However, you need to remove the plug and then plug it in to turn it on again.

I like this 3 hours system because as you know it is not good to sleep all night long in an electric blanket due to several reasons which I already mentioned above in this article.

It is machine washable and easy to maintain because of the removable controller and washable fabric. However, the manufacturer advice not to bleach it and do gentle cold machine wash, and tumble dry on low heat only.

Pros: Machine washable, Comes with heat controller, auto shut off timer, affordable, best for winter camping, soft and comfortable.

Cons: Once you turn it off using a controller you need to plug it out and plug it in again to turn it on.

Stalwart – Electric Car Blanket – Best Cheapest option

  • Size: 15 x 15 x 5 inches
  • Weight: 5 lbs
  • Color: 6 options available

This is an under-budget blanket that does not offer top-of-the-roof things but whatever we are getting under this price doesn’t allow me to complain too much about it.

There are some pitfalls like this blanket heated itself very slow like the speed of a turtle and you can not machine wash it, just clean the spots if you want it to live longer.

Despite these boundaries, you can either use it with any portable power station or in any car, truck, RV, or SUV using a cigarette lighter.

The beauty of this blanket is it won’t only heat you but the car/camper van too so you don’t have to worry about how cold you feel when you come out from the blanket.

Even though it is slow in heating but once it reaches a certain point you’ll want to slip off from this blanket even when you’re camping in the snow.

Pros: Great for cold camping, Affordable, lightweight, portable, takes less space, will heat the room also to some extent

Cons: Heat up slowly, No controller to control the heat
